Each year during the finalists phase of the Long Island Beauty Awards, we create space for connection. Our finalist tidbits give nominees the opportunity to step in front of the Beauty Affair community through short, formatted videos that introduce who they are, what drives their work, and why their business earned finalist recognition.
These videos allow us to see the person behind the title and the business. They highlight passion, personal stories, and the reasons each finalist chose this industry and continues to show up for it every day.
This is one of the meaningful perks of becoming a finalist. At Beauty Affair, we believe trust is built through real moments, and these tidbits are where those connections begin.
What Are Finalist Tidbits?
A short-form video feature shared in collaboration with Beauty Affair
Finalist Tidbits are short, formatted video features created for Long Island Beauty Awards finalists. Each Tidbit is a brief video where you answer a small set of questions provided by Beauty Affair about your work, your passion, and your business.
Videos may be self-filmed following our guidelines or filmed by a Beauty Affair team member. Once submitted, your video is placed into the official Beauty Affair Finalist Tidbit template, edited for consistency, and shared across Beauty Affair platforms in collaboration with your business. These features help introduce you to our community, build trust with our audience, and highlight the person behind the finalist title.
How to Participate
Step One: Choose How Your Tidbit Will Be Filmed:
Decide whether you will:
- Self-film your Tidbit using the guidelines provided by Beauty Affair
or
- Hire a Beauty Affair team member to film your Tidbit on location
Both options follow the same question format and final template.
Step Two: We Create Your Tidbit
Once your footage is submitted, Beauty Affair will place your video into our official Finalist Tidbit template. We handle the formatting, consistency, and final assembly so every Tidbit aligns with the Beauty Affair brand.
Step Three: Posting & Placement
Your Tidbit will be posted in collaboration with your business on Beauty Affair platforms.
- Main Feed Features are limited.
We have 14 Main Feed spots available from now through May. These are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Guaranteed Main Feed Placement:
If you choose to have a Beauty Affair team member film your Tidbit, your video is guaranteed a Main Feed position.
- Story & Highlight Placement:
Once all 14 Main Feed spots are filled, remaining Tidbits will be shared via Stories and saved to Finalist Highlights.
